We have developed MAC-P, a new and natural product that makes resistant endoparasites disappear.

 

Natural

Nowadays, there is a lot of resistance against the remedies of deworming that are on the market. The non-resistant endoparasites are threatened with extinction. Mainly resistant endoparasites survive the treatment with the current anthelmintics. So these resistant endoparasites have started multiplying themselves more and more over the last decades.
That’s why ever more companion and food animals remain unvoluntarily infected with endoparasites. These resistant endoparasites cause infections, weightloss and aenemia.

As a result, the animals need more food and with significantly higher prices for food, hay and straw since 2008, this leads to higher costs for owners, breeders and farmers.

Since 2008 dewormers for horses are in the Netherlands only available through a recipe from a veterinarian. This governmental law intends to slow down the process of the growth of resistant endoparasites in horses.

 

Research: in vitro, AMES II and in vivo

MAC-P has been tested by means of scientific in-vitro tests, at the larvae stage III of the ascaris suum and the ostertagia o.

The results of these tests show that MAC-P is effective against the ascaris suum and also against the ostertagia o.

The ostertagia o. is a well-known resistant endoparasite in cattle, that causes a lot of damage, both physically as well as economically. 

Professional researchers are looking to find a cure against the resistant ostertagia o.

In 2005, a  Round Table Conference was organised by Marck / Intervet in the US to discuss the problems with the resistant ostertagia o.

A yearly loss of  $ 2.000.000.000 in the US cattle industry is a realistic figure.

In vivo researches show that MAC-P is broadly deployable against endoparasites, both in horses as well as in domestic pets and in cattle.

In horses MAC-P works very well against the small strongylidae and  the encysted larvae.

Like the ostertagia o. in cattle,  the resistant encysted small strongylidae pose an enormous threat on the health of horses.

At VITO (Flemish Institute for Technology and Research) in Mol, Belgium, the agent has been tested for carcinogenic and toxic properties, the AMES-II test. The results show that our product is not harmful.

 

Easy to administer

MAC-P is easy to administer to animals. Dosage according to body-weight. The administration of the traditional chemical deworming products to pets and horses often leads to problems. Often, the traditional product is spitted up because the smell is awfull (for cats and dogs) or because the animal refuses the administration of the injector (horses and cats).

 

Patent

The Belgian patent has been granted in November 2010.

The American Patent  has been issued on April 29th 2014. Our US-patent gives the asignee the exclusive right to use our patented product against resistant endoparasites:

both for the species of endoparasites that are already resistant to the current anthelmintics as well for the species of endoparasites that will become resistant in the future!

The European patent has been granted in 2017 which is very unique! The examiner's judgement at the European Patent Office is that our invention fulfills a longfelt need (since the 1980's) against resistant endoparasites.

The patent is a use-patent. The patent is not in conflict in any way with another patent. Hence, the freedom to operate is very large.

 

Tax advantages

The tax advantages in Belgium for the licensee are: up to 80% of the profit of this patented product will be untaxed when the production takes place in Belgium.

This very favorable fiscal set-up (which has been created by the Belgian government in order to stimulate innovation) also involves the official fellow distributor of the patent.

 

We are now looking for a renowned partner, to issue the new natural cure against endoparasites.

MAC-P can play an important role in the pursuit of "sustainable nutrition through livestock health management".  Animals that host few endoparasites need less food and water. The animals become healthier and they produce less manure.
